Serigala by Cementiet Serigala by Cementiet
A rebuild of my Serigala walker robot, did rebuild many parts of the original design.

Older drawing version can be found here:

General idea for the walker is a support function with long range scouting abilities.

it's very Tachikoma-like... I've been meaning to give something like that a go for a while... altho I'm a modeller rather than a CAD person... tho looking at that if i was even half that good a modeller I'd be freakin awesome!

hehe, i used to work in modeling software aswel, but i kinda started to like cad drawing software since it works very easy, only i miss some render effects tho wich is a bit anoying, for the Tachikoma, they used to be a bit more round shapish ;)

I've never tried cad stuff... is it possible to save it as an obj or something like that so you could put it into modelling software? I've never used cad software before so don't really know how it all works...

Yea there are plugins to share it with other 3d programs, the only problem with cad software is usualy the polygon buildup since it uses allot. ^^

Here is a tip! Use ambient occlusion in your shading. That makes your vehicles look even more realistic.

OK I understand, I wasn't asking for the model I was actually just speaking of using that 2D picture in your gallery, From there I practice my SLICE/MASKING & REPAINTING skills & then use those parts to animate.
Here is another robot from another fellow DA Artist.

but I understand & will abide by your wish. Still great work & you have a great gallery :)

Nice design features mate. I'm currently working on a six-legged walker myself, but I just can't get the details right. There needs to be a certain harmony, like you demonstrate here. Good job.

Thank you very much, yea indeed it can be tricky to get a good balance, usualy its handy just to work with some basic blocks at the begin, and add detail later ;)

Wel my study did support this for 2 years on my school, however my newer school not at all. So tried to play with it home instead, so since arround 2008 i use this software, but realy into it since 2010 (else i was forced to use autocad 2000 on school and that not gonna happen) ;)

It still takes me about 15-30 minutes to make a decent tapered gear in SW... something like this would take me a month at least :D Kudo's ^^
